The original Black Hills Passion Play is a moving & memorable experience in Rapid City. The play reconstructs faithfully the dramatic events of Christ's last seven days on Earth. It has a series of unique settings that allows an uninterrupted unfolding of this glorious play. They also have an up to date technical system that enhances each scene. The Black Hills Passion Play viewers are transported from early dawn to the darkness of the night and even during the storm event.

The professional casts of Black Hills Passion Play perform on the world's largest outdoor stage. They have wonderful dramatic participations that would portray in each scene of the play. Black Hills Passion scenes starts with the scene of Christ entering Jerusalem and a voice saying, “He is coming into the city”. It is followed by the scene, Healing of the blind and a voice saying, “Thou shall be healed”. The next scenes would then follow like the Last Supper Scene, Christ washing Peter's feet, Herod's Court Scene, and Herod refuses to judge Jesus.

Finally, Black Hills Passion Play is presented each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm during the summer season. It is not required to have reservations, but it is recommended to assure the best seats possible.
