The famous State Fair in South Dakota is held annually in Huron. The first fair in Huron was held September 29 up to October 2, 1885. The fair showcases and promotes some of state's finest businesses and products. In fact, the territory is known for its delicious dairy products. Aside from this, live entertainment, carnival midway, grandstand shows, rodeos and even car races can be found in the fair as well.
The Midwest Dairy Association also offers an enjoyable variety of dairy products. The association also helps provide opportunities in order to learn more about the dairy farmers and how they practice animal care.
Moreover, some of the attractions provided in the State Fair are milk shakes, hand dipped ice cream cones, fresh homemade cream puffs, cheesecake on a stick and cold nutritious milk. Hence, attractive Dairy Princesses of the Midwest are also visible at the fair. Midwest butter sculpture is often a popular attraction.
Finally, it is the Dairy Check-off of South Dakota that operates the dairy bar, which sells delicious milk shakes, and hand dipped ice cream cones. Then again, the booth of “All You Can Drink Milk” is also operated and welcomes everyone who wants to try the acclaimed product.
